Salvatore Burruano of Stuart, Florida, died June 9, 2015, at the age of Eighty. He was born September 7, 1934, in Brooklyn, New York, where he grew up, and he spent the larger number of years in Baldwin, New York. Salvatore owned and operated an automotive repair business in Freeport, on Long Island for nearly fifty years until he moved to Stuart sixteen years ago.

He is survived by his children from his first marriage to Marie Durso (deceased 1981), Salvatore Jr., Lucille, and Maria and was predeceased by his daughter Theresa (2007). Salvatore will be greatly missed by his wife of thirty-three years, Karen, and children John Cleary, Christopher Cleary, Anthony Burruano, and Michael Burruano, his seven Grandchildren, and his four Great-Grandchildren.

One of Salvatore's most valuable life lessons has been his forty-seven years of Recovery from Alcohol and participation in Alcoholics Anonymous which he lived and practiced, enabling him to be the wonderful and loving husband, father, friend, and man that he was. It was never too much, nor was it ever too difficult for him to have the hand of AA there for those who asked for help. He has left a great legacy for so many people who knew him, and loved him, showing them that there was a better way to live.

The Visitation for Salvatore will be on Monday, June 15, 2015 from 4-6 PM at the Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 SE Monterey Road, Stuart, Florida 34994.
