Salvatore (Sal) Matteo Norcia, born April 16, 1933 at the age of 82, passed peacefully on the sunny day of April 6, 2016 at the Treasure Coast Hospice.
Sal was predeceased by his four loving sisters Mary, Rosie, Gloria, Annie, and survived by his sister Annette and brother Mike who all adored their brother. He also is survived by several nieces and nephews that cared deeply for him.
Sal attended Fairfield Preparatory School in Fairfield, Ct and when completed, he joined the U.S. Navy. While in the service, he was on the USS Intrepid and the USS Lake Champlain aircraft carrier in the Korean War. After his four years of service, he returned, met and fell in love with his wife Ann Marie and they blissfully wed on August 29, 1959.
He was such a special soul and he is survived by his adoring bride Ann Marie (Stuart, FL) their son Mark (Houston, TX), a daughter Dianne and son-in-law Scott (Melvin Village, NH) a daughter Jayne (Avon, CT) and son Matthew (Jamaica Plain, MA). His joyful years were filled by his adoring grandchildren, Zachary, Kaitlyn, Jessica, Nicholas and Matthew.
During his successful career, Sal was a District Manager in Sales for Moore Business forms. His hobbies were boating, dancing, fishing, golfing, biking and anything that included family and friends that he loved. He was an active member of the Hidden Harbor Boat Club and St. Joseph's parish (Stuart, FL).
His love and passion for his life, family and friends was undeniable. His infectious smile, gentle kind ways and sense of humor were impressed upon everyone that met him. He was loved and adored by so many, his legacy of love will live on within everyone that came into contact with him. A celebration of his love and life will be held at St. Joseph's Church, 1200 Se 10th St, Stuart, FL on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.
