Sandra J. Messina, 81, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2020, at the Treasure Coast Hospice, Saint Lucie Hospice House, located in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, she had been a resident of Port Saint Lucie for 20 years after coming from West Palm Beach, Florida, where she resided since 1972.

Her first retirement was from Household Finance Corporation, then she pursued a  second career working in the front office and billing departments in the medical field.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, James F. Messina of Port St. Lucie; her daughters, Janet Smith and her husband, George of Port St. Lucie, Carol Thomas and her husband, Todd formerly of Palm City, now Purlear, North Carolina, her son James M. Messina and spouse, Heather of Arvada, Colorado; and her grandchildren, Corbin Thomas, Shaylynn Latham and her husband Alex, Carianne Messina, and Janelle Messina.
