Sherwood "Pete" Johnson
Age 68, of Hobe Sound, FL, died Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at the Martin Memorial Medical Center in Stuart. Born in Jamestown, NY, he had been a resident of Hobe Sound for six years, coming from Lakewood, NY. Prior to retirement, he was the Owner and Executive Chef of the Bench in Mayville, NY, The Season Ticket in Chautauqua, NY and the Steward of Post 1286 in Lakewood, NY. He was a Life Member of the VFW Post # 8647 in Mayville, NY and the American Legion in Lakewood, NY.
Survivors include his wife, Lorraine Johnson of Hobe Sound, FL; one son, Rodney Johnson of Martinsville, IN; one daughter, Gina Gerace of Jamestown, NY; one sister, Sharon Murray of Ashville, NY; and nine grandchildren.
A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date at Ridgeway Clubhouse at a later date.
