Shirley S. Payne, 73, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, died suddenly Saturday, January 10, 2015 at her home.

Born in Hartford, Connecticut, she had been a resident of Port Saint Lucie since 1985, coming from Glastonbury, Connecticut.

Prior to her retirement, Shirley was a Bank Teller with Riverside National Bank in their Lakeside Center location at Port Saint Lucie and Airoso Boulevards in Port Saint Lucie.

Survivors include one son, Herbert Elliott, and his wife, Michelle, of Port Saint Lucie, one daughter, Tanya Payne, also of Port Saint Lucie, and one step-daughter, Linda Mitchard, and her husband, Bill, of Middlefield, Connecticut; five grandchildren, Daniel Elliott, of Middletown, Connecticut, Kristen Elliott, of Old Saybrook, Connecticut, Rick Myers, of Port Saint Lucie, Lisa Kantorski, of Port Saint Lucie, and Mary Mitchard, of Middlefield, Connecticut; and three great-grandchildren, Nina, Brianna, and Jasmin Kantorski, all of Port Saint Lucie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, of 32 year, Albert J. "Pops" Payne, who died last year.

A Service to Celebrate Her Life will be Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Genesis Community Church, 8643 South US Highway #1, Crown Plaza, Port Saint Lucie, Florida 34952 (www.genesiscommchurchtc.com) 772-873-1075.
