Stephen H. Bell, 49, of Stuart, Florida, died Saturday, March 14, 2015, at the Martin Memorial Hospital North in Stuart.
Born in Tarrytown, New York, he had been a resident of Stuart for eight months, coming from Pleasantville, New York.
He received his Bachelor of Education from the State University of New York at Oswego, and then earned his Masters Degree from the University of Connecticut.
Prior to his illness, he was an Industrial Tech teacher for twenty-two years, teaching in the Ossining Public School System in Ossining, New York.
Survivors include his parents, Richard and Judith Bell, of Stuart; one sister, Maureen Grippo, and her husband, Jeffrey, of Carmel, New York; one niece; and one nephew.
A Service to Celebrate His Life will be held at a later date in Stuart , with another taking place in Pleasantville.
Contributions as a Memorial may be made to the Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, Florida 34997, or to the Moffitt Cancer Center, 12902 Magnolia Drive, Tampa, Florida 33612.
