Stuart Thomson, age 90 of Stuart, FL passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at the Treasure Coast Hospice, Harper House. Stuart was born January 9, 1923 in Glasgow, Scotland, son of the late Stuart Boyd and Amy Jane Jackson (Clayton) Thomson. He proudly served his country in the United States Coat Guard during WWII and was a Mason for many years in South Hampton, NY. After retiring 30 years ago, Stuart moved to Florida from Hampton Bays, NY. Surviving are his son, Richard Thomson of Melbourne, FL; daughter, Barbara (Terry) Thomson of Cincinnati, OH; granddaughter, Kelsey Thomson; 2 great grandchildren; his significant other, Anita Brush of Stuart, FL. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Thomson and a sister, Amy. Per his wishes, cremation will take place and no public services are scheduled at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice (1201 SE Indian St; Stuart, FL 34997). Arrangements are by the Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory, Stuart, FL.
