Susan Jane Payne, 71, of Stuart, Florida, passed away Monday, July 4, 2016 at the Treasure Coast Hospice House in Stuart after a brief illness.

Born in Berwick, Pennsylvania on September 10, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow and the late Marion Knorr.

She graduated from the Nescopeck High School in Nescopeck, Pennsylvania and resided in Mifflinville, Pennsylvania, until moving to Florida in 1987.

Susan was a member of the Women of Moose Lodge #1651 in Stuart. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed dancing. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile.

Susan was preceded in death by her son, Barry Payne; her companion, Joe Neff; her brother, Walter Minnick; and her sister, Carol Knorr.

Survivors include her two daughters, Wendy Geyer and her husband, Chris of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and Debra Baker and her companion, Jack Hancock of Mifflinville, Pennsylvania; one brother, Collin Knorr of New York; one sister, Linda Hurley of Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, Terry Payne, Alexander Slusser, Dana Cerreta, Kristen Davis, and Meredith Geyer: and three greatgrandchildren, Caius Payne, Amarah Davis, and Emmalyn Davis.

Services to Celebrate Her Life will take place in Stuart and Mifflinville at a later date.
