Sylvia O. Ives, age 91, died on Oct 14, 2020, in Margate, Florida.

Sylvia is survived by her sister Patricia Oyarzun: her three daughters Evelyn Salamone, Sylvia Salenetri, and Ximena Ives: her Granddaughters Kasse Salenetri and Melody Ives: her Grandsons Joel Salamone, Michael Salamone, Joey Salenetri, Jesse Salenetri, and their children.

Sylvia O. Ives was born on July 2, 1929, in Valparaiso, Chile, to parents of Arturo Oyarzun and Mercedes Pinto. She graduated from high school in Chile in 1947.

Sylvia was a loving mother and a devoted wife. She married James A. Ives in 1947, and the couple had five children together. With the support of her family, they migrated from Chile to New Jersey, USA.

Sylvia was a social, active woman who was deeply involved in traveling and caring for her family for most of her life. After her husband's death, she met John Williams, who became a wonderful, devoted lover with whom she spent 20 years.

Her family and friends will always remember her as a kind, generous, and an endearing person and will be greatly missed.
