Obituary

Thomas Fulton, 59, passed away January 3, 2016 at his home with his companion and pets with him under the care of Treasure Coast Hospice.
Born on September 30, 1956 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Robert Fulton and Patricia S. Wheeler. He moved to Stuart in May 2010 coming from Kona, HI.
Thomas was a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America Hyde Park, NY. During his career he worked for Hyatt, Four Seasons and for private residences. His love of cooking continued into his personal life, he enjoyed cooking for friends and family as well as hosting parties.
One of Thomas' other loves was traveling. He and his beloved companion Melissa had traveled the world; he traveled to see his favorite team, San Francisco 49ers play at home and on the road.
Thomas liked to go to the Harley Davidson shop and also take his bike out for a ride. He appreciated fine cars and liked to attend car shows around the Treasure Coast.
Survivors include his loving companion of 28 years, Melissa Echenique; mother, Patricia Wheeler; sisters, Marie Steinhart, Kathleen Acton (Michael), Maribeth Finegan (Glenn); brothers, Jimmy Wheeler (Elaine) and Gary Wheeler; beloved nieces and nephews and his cherished pets, Jed and Lucy.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Fulton; step-father, James Wheeler and brother, Alan Wheeler.
There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends, 3 PM to 7 PM, Monday, January 11, 2016 at the residence in Stuart. Memorial contributions in Thomas' name may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 SE Indian St., Stuart, FL 34997.
