Thomas Rodgers Lyons died peacefully on Sunday February 14, 2016 at Treasure Coast Hospice House
Tom was born Jan. 8, 1932 to John and Anna Lyons in East Orange. N.J. He was a brother to Eileen
Ritchings, Howard Lyons, Jack Lyons, Dolores Masucci, Frank Lyons and Vincent Lyons.
After graduating from Westside High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served for four
years. He married Pat McNichol and together they raised five children, Lynn Lewis, Stuart, FL,
Tom (deceased), Stuart, FL, Ken, Williamsburg, VA, Richard, Stuart, FL, and Ellen, Stuart, FL. He is
survived by his nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren
Tom was a Newark, N.J. Fireman for 18 years, a Union Sheet Metal Mechanic for 27 years, owned
and operated Lyons Hardware, along with Stuyvesant Ave. Laundromat for approximately 10 years.
After moving to Stuart in 1977, he became a successful Real Estate Salesman and Broker, servicing
the Treasure Coast for 38 years.
Tom is loved and will be missed by all of his family, relations and friends. He made an indelible mark
on this world that cannot be erased!
A Celebration of Life Service will be at 1 PM, Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home in Stuart.
