Thomas G. Tignor, 87, of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, died Thursday, January 29, 2015, at the Manors of Hobe Sound, in Hobe Sound, Florida.
Born in Youngstown, Ohio, he had been a resident of Port Saint Lucie for 14 years, coming from North Palm Beach, Florida.
A Veteran of World War II, he proudly served in the United States Navy.
Tom was a graduate of Perdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, and then working as a Metallurgic Engineer in the Aerospace industry.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 29 years, Natalie Tignor, of Port Saint Lucie; two sons, William A. Tignor, of Delray Beach, Florida, and Blair R. Tignor, of Lake Worth, Florida; two daughters, Beth D. Janok, also of Lake Worth, and Nancy Tignor, of Boca Raton, Florida; two step-daughters, Elizabeth Evans, of Homestead, Florida, and Tania Clayton, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; two sisters; and nine grandchildren.
A Graveside Service with Military Honors and Presentation of the Flag by the United States Naval Honor Guard will be held Monday, February 16, 2015 at 9:00 am, at the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 South State Road #7, Lake Worth, Florida 33449 (1-561-649-6489).
