Tillie Roberts Hinsley, age 87 of Hobe Sound, FL passed away on Friday, July 19, 2013 at The Manors of Hobe Sound. Tillie was born September 18, 1925 in Clermont, IN, daughter of the late Earl and Lela (Todd) Lippard. Tillie lived in Indianapolis, IN for 60 years before moving to Hutchinson Island, FL, where she lived for 9 years. She eventually settled in Hobe Sound, FL, where she's been for the last 17 years. She owned Jene's Dress Shop in Indiana for 5 years and the Clermont Flower Shop, also in Indiana, for 10 years. She was a member of the Speedway Ladies Golf League and taught flower arranging for Martin County Adult Education for 10 years. On September 14, 1946 in Indianapolis, Tillie was united in marriage to her loving husband of 50 years, Francis "Gene" Roberts, who preceded her in death in 1996. She was also preceded in death by her 3 siblings, Jacqueline, Knute and Mary. Surviving are her sons, Walter "Rick" Roberts of Orlando, FL and Randall "Randy" Roberts of Stuart, FL; her daughter, Karolyn (Victor James) Bair of Stuart, FL; grandchildren, Dean W. Bair, Kristina (Brian) Thomas, Karen (David) Taylor, Patrick Roberts and Paige Roberts; great grandchildren, Alec, Lauren, Ryan, Addison, Chase and Jaxon; her brother, Todd (Kathleen) Lippard of Brownsburg, IN; her husband, William Hinsley, Sr. of Stuart, FL. Per her wishes, cremation will take place and private memorial services will be held in Stuart, FL and Indianapolis, IN, with entombment at Washington Park North, Indianapolis. Memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice (1201 SE Indian St; Stuart, FL 34997.) or to Alzheimer's Community Care (800 North Point Parkway, Suite 101 B; West Palm Beach, FL 34997.)
