Valerie L (Gaynor) Cuna, 52, of Jensen Beach, Florida, and daughter of the late Natalie (Brooks) Gaynor and late William Gaynor, lost her longtime battle with Pulmonary Disease on Friday, September 30, 2016.

Valerie grew up in Ipswich, Massachusetts, attended Ipswich schools and graduated from Our Lady of Nazareth Academy in Wakefield, Massachusetts.

Valerie was a caring CNA for many years until her illness prevented her from working any longer. She had the gift of compassion, patience and humor and advocated for her patients when necessary. Valerie lived for several years in Falmouth, Massachusetts, before moving to Florida.

Valerie is survived by her longtime partner , Alfred D'Agostino of Jensen Beach and their beloved dogs; her sister Hillarie Gaynor Clarke of East Falmouth , Massachusetts and sister Denise Cornwall of Providence Rhode Island. She also leaves her beloved brother-in-laws, Joseph Cornwall and Dean Clarke; nieces Nadia Andrade, Gaia Cornwall , and Faith Cornwall; nephews Samuel Cornwall , William Cornwall, Dantae Clarke and Aedan Clarke; and great nephew and niece Rowan Cornwall Lewis and Larkin Cornwall Lewis. She also leaves her cherished cousins, aunt and uncle, and many friends.

Valerie will be remembered as funny, encouraging, and generous, as she would unselfishly help others often. She was a faithful woman who loved God. Her presence will be greatly missed.

Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM, Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Our Lady of Hope, 1 Pineswamp Rd, Ipswich, MA 01938. Interment to follow at Cowles Memorial Cemetery, Ipswich, MA.
