Veronica J. Luyster, a spiritual being, completed her human experience peacefully amidst her family on February 4th 2014. She is survived by her children Julia, Peter, Anne, David and Irenemarie; Grandchildren, Julianne, Kyle, Reanna, Ashley, John, Joseph, Lesley, David, Peter, Christina, Mark, Matthew and Rachael; Great-Grandchildren, Hannah, Landon, Alex, Helena, and Hunter, who was born on February 5, 2014.
Veronica, known as Ronnie most of her life, was a devout Catholic, loyal and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Born and raised in Northern New Jersey Ronnie grew up with a great passion for teaching. A graduate from Caldwell College, she began her career teaching at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School.
Married to Peter Luyster, on June 23, 1956, they started a family home in Towaco, New Jersey which became a sanctuary for nurturing their 5 children and all the joys that parenting can bring.
In 1989, Ronnie moved to Port St. Lucie, FL where she continued teaching in the school districts of Martin and St Lucie County. She finished her working career at QVC in Saint Lucie County.
Ronnie Luyster, was a beautiful person who had an open heart to everyone. Many people crossed her path and the love and compassion she gave to others taught us all the true meaning of love. The friends she leaves behind will miss her dearly.
A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday February 8, 2014 at 10 AM at the Saint Lucie Catholic Church, 280 Prima Vista Blvd., Port Saint Lucie, followed by a brief celebration of her life at Vista Saint Lucie Club House, located at 30-A Lake Vista Trail, Port Saint Lucie.
