IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Viola
Papadopoulos
July 16, 1938 – June 7, 2025
Viola Papadopoulos, 86, of Stuart, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 7th in Stuart.
Born in New York City, Viola met and married the love of her life, Demetrios, with whom she shared 60 wonderful years. Together, they raised two children, Christina and John, building a life grounded in love, tradition, and family.
Viola was a devoted wife and mother, known for her unwavering positivity, warmth, and kindness. There was truly no one she didn't like. She had a joyful spirit and a generous heart, and she took great pride in caring for her home and family. She was also an exceptional cook. Viola had a lifelong appreciation for the arts, particularly flower arranging and painting.
At the age of 16, she was crowned the Greek Independence Queen in New York—a reflection of both her beauty and her cultural pride. She and Demetrios traveled extensively, but her deepest devotion was always to her faith and family. Her deep spirituality, great sense of humor, and open-hearted generosity will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her son John, his wife Tammy, her daughter Christina her husband Mike, and by her five cherished grandchildren: Demetrios, Nicholas, Alexander, Philip, and Peter; brother, Alex Poulos and sister, Bess Corniola.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Chrysostom Greek Orthodox Church, 10605 SE Federal Hwy, Hobe Sound, FL 33455. A reception will follow from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and interment will take place at 1:30 p.m. at South Florida VA National Cemetery, Lake Worth, Florida.
