Virginia "Marie" Jordan Hassinger, age 84 of Stuart, FL, passed away on Jan 15, 2018 after a short illness.  She lived a full life, having moved to Florida in the early 1960s after the loss of her beloved husband - Bob.

Marie initially resided in Miami Florida working at Biscayne College (known today as St Thomas University), where she was an administration assistant.   She later worked at Jackson Memorial Hospital until her retirement in 1990, after which she shortly moved north to the Treasure Coast, settling in Stuart.

Marie was active all her life, except in her final few weeks.  Throughout her life she enjoyed traveling, having chased  the sunrises to Turkey, Germany and Asia.  She also enjoyed playing Mah Jongg, Bingo, and Slots with her friends!  Marie had many friends in central and southern Florida, and in her home state of North Carolina.

A memorial service will be held at a later date, and will coincide with her wishes to be with her late husband.

It takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, and a day to love them, but it will take an entire lifetime to forget Marie.  She was very special to all those she touched.
