Vito DeRosa, 91, of Stuart, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at the Treasure Coast Hospice House in Stuart.

Born in Taranto, Italy, he had been a Florida resident since 1988 coming from Staten Island, New York.

Prior to his retirement he was a Police Officer in Italy and also served in the Italian Navy.

He attended Saint Andrews Catholic Church in Stuart.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 62 years, Nicoletta DeRosa of Stuart; his children, Constantine DeRosa and his wife, Sondra of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Joe DeRosa of Stuart, Paul DeRosa and his wife, Rose of Barrie Ontario, Canada, and Virginia Martini and her husband, Stephen of Stuart.  Vito is also survived by his grandchildren, Vito, Christopher, Michael, and Olivia, Paul, Nicholas, Giovanni, and  Julian DeRosa, Stephen, Nicholas, and Brianna Martini; and two great-grandchildren, Costantino, and Honor.

He was preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Mila.

A Celebration of His Life will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 10:00 in the Chapel of the Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 SE Monterey Road, Stuart, with Monsignor Blase Gintoli officiating.
