Wanda Ann Millette, 70, of Fort Pierce, Florida, died Tuesday, December 24, 2013, after a courageous and long battle with Multiple Sclerosis, at the Treasure Coast Hospice House in Fort Pierce.
Born on October 21, 1943, to Stanley and Ann Zemeir in Waterbury, Connecticut, she was raised in Naugatuck, Connecticut, where she attended school.
She married Ken Millette, who was also from Waterbury, and shared 48 years together.
She worked for many years at the Middlebury Convalescent Home in Middlebury, Connecticut, while attending school to become one of Waterbury Hospital's best Phlebotomist.
In order to give her children, the childhood they would remember, she also worked as a practical nurse, in order to pay for the many vacations, to Disney, SeaWorld, Hawaii, and cruises with her husband, kids, and her mother "Babci", who she loved dearly.
She was a longtime member of the Polish National Catholic Church in Union City, Connecticut.
Survivors include her husband, Ken Millette, of Fort Pierce who cared and loved her for years through the very good times and the very worst of times with her MS like no man could have; she had two sons, Kenny Millette, of Fort Pierce, and Gary Millette, of Connecticut; one daughter, Tami Beaulieu; three grandchildren, Amanda Millette, David Beaulieu, & Ame Beaulieu; and her brother, Ed Zemeir, who gave her one of her best memories of her 15th birthday.
She loved all three of her grandchildren dearly; Amanda, David & Ame and so loved every minute with them and the memories they gave her & those 3 Little Angels gave her the strength to carry on with her daily fight.
In honor and remembrance of Wanda please don't wait till it's too late to help or love the lonely in spirit life or soul to take down the walls of inner isolation and reach out to those you have been estranged from through life illness hurt pain shame before it is too late for them or yourself and the inner demons of hate anger bitterness consume you behind a wall to thick to let others help you break them down and not only be alive but to live love laugh sing with family friends or strangers you meet.
