Obituary

Wendy Herbst Cihocki, known to family and friends as "Grammy," passed away on February 14, 2019, at the age of 76 years.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Edward J. Cihocki, daughters Tobiann Howell and Danielle Young and son Edward Cihocki, grandchildren Dylan, Justin, Douglas, Case, and Acklen Howell, Madelyn, Hannah, and Edward Cihocki, and Caitlin Sweet, great grandchildren Juliette and Sullivan Sweet.

The self described "Wander Woman" loved to travel and hopped in her red jeep whenever the spirit moved her. Back and forth between Florida and North Carolina with stops anywhere and everywhere along the way. She would drive for hours to attend family graduations or sporting events.

One of her very favorite places to go over many years was Disney World. She planned LOTS of family trips to Disney to get family together and enjoy entertaining her grandchildren. Everyone has their own special memories of Disney trips with Grammy.

She was a good-hearted, loving, outspoken, bubbly woman with a lot of compassion and consideration for others. There was never a holiday or birthday that she did not acknowledge with a gift or card. Singing "Happy Birthday" to the answering machine was a favorite! She never missed the opportunity to celebrate or share her smile and encouragement. She will be greatly missed by all of those whose lives she touched as well as those she loved dearly.

The family will gather privately to celebrate Grammy at "the happiest place on earth".
