Obituary

William Logan Flint, age 67 of Palm City, Florida, died September 11, 2014, at Martin Memorial Hospital, North, in Stuart, Florida.

He was born in Arkadelphia, Arkansas on June 13, 1947, to Logan and Betty Flint. Bill graduated from Madison Consolidated High School and received his B.S.W. from Murray State University.

He leaves behind his wife of 34 years, Heidi McNaney Flint.
His life will be lived on through daughters, Meagan and Madison. He leaves behind his father, Logan, nieces and nephews, along with many other family and countless friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty, and his sister, Kathy.

After leaving Arkadelphia, he lived a few years in Louisville, Kentucky, before moving to the place he considered his hometown, Madison, Indiana. After graduating college, he returned to Madison, where he worked for the Jefferson County Welfare Office and owned, together with his father, the Clifty Acres Zoo Farm.

Years later he relocated to Tampa, Florida, taking a position at University of South Florida's Northside Mental Health Center. There he met the love of his life Heidi, who was rotating through Medical School. After Heidi's graduation and their wedding they began their adventure in Roanoke, Virginia, where his next position was Family Services of RV.

They returned to Florida, spending two years in Vero Beach, before making their home in Palm City in 1986. He left his last social services position in 1990 to take the most important job of his life, being a stay at home dad. Over the next 24 years he ran multiple businesses from home including Limo D-Elegance, the south Florida territory of the Princeton Review, and Flint Strategic Partners.

After home and work, his life was golf. One of his shining moments was winning the FSGA State Handicap Tournament in 1990. The year he finally made his first hole-in-one, he made two. He formed innumerable friendships on and off the course. He was an admirer and collector of art and gadgets. He and his family also raised six Cocker Spaniels.

He will forever be missed.

A Celebration of His Life is planned for a later date in both Martin County and Madison, Indiana.
