William Eddie "Bubba", "Bill" or "Cowboy" Floyd, 72, of Palm City, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, March 23rd, 2021 at his home, after battling esophageal cancer.

William was born in Blakely, Georgia, on September 8, 1948, son of late William Floyd and Irene Windsor Floyd. Bill was a graduate from Earl County High School in Blakely. He married Patsy Ann Roberts on September 2, 1969. The day after their marriage Bill and Patsy moved to Miami, Florida with only $69 to their name. After working as a meat cutter for Great Value and Publix for a  short period of time, Bill opened his own meat market on 8th street in Miami. In 1978 "Cowboy" was hired by Florida Power and Light as an apprentice Lineman. Cowboy spent the next 36 years working for the power company.

Bill was a hard working family man who enjoyed fishing, football and professional wrestling.  After retirement in 2017,  Bill and Patsy moved to Palm City, to be closer to their son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

William is survived by his wife, Patsy Ann Floyd; his son, Billy Floyd and his wife Cindy; his granddaughter, Lilliana Floyd; and his sisters, Vonnie King and Joanne Goforth.

William was predeceased by his son, William Michael Floyd.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 am on Saturday, March 27, 2021, in the Chapel of the Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Homeand Crematory,950 SE Monterey Road, Stuart, Florida
