Dr. William Scriver Saxton 81, of Hobe Sound, Florida and Brushton, New York, was peacefully welcomed into the arms of Jesus after his two year battle with cancer on August 19 at 9:12 at his home in Hobe Sound with his wife Judy and his family by his bedside.

Bill was predeceased by his parents Peter and Eileen Saxton and his son, Glenn.

He is survived by his faithful wife, Judy, sons Garry {Sherri} and Gregg. Grandchildren are Regan, Mackenzie and Austin. Great Grandchildren are Jordan and Carly. His sister Ellen {Robert} Childs and brother Timothy {Faye} Saxton

Bill leaves a legacy of love to his family and faithful service for the work of God he was called to do in his teen years. His life was characterized by his complete surrender to the calling of God as he pastored five different churches in his early years. In 1984 he began serving as a missionary to the country of Haiti under the direction of Pilgrim Holiness Church of New York. During the years of 1996 - 2008 Bill and Judy began working with Florida Evangelistic Association and Hope International Missions of Hobe Sound Florida.

He served as director of Russia and Eastern Europe. His labors included raising funds to build an orphanage in Romania and a beautiful House of Prayer where people forged a great desire for freedom and the Word of God. The distribution of Bibles was paramount to the ministry there.

A funeral service is scheduled to take place at the Hobe Sound Bible Church on Gomez Ave. with Pastor Matt Ellison officiating on Friday August 22, 2025. Visitation starts at 10:00; funeral at 11:00.

Interment on Thursday the 28th at Sunnyside Cemetery, Brushton, NY at 11 am.
