IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William Lester
Shropshire Jr.
March 31, 1932 – February 3, 2025
William Lester Shropshire Jr., age 92, of Indiantown, Florida, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2025.
He was born on March 31, 1932, in Summerville, Georgia, to William L. Shropshire Sr. and Leila C. Shropshire.
A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Bill dedicated much of his life to serving God, his community and country. He was an avid fisherman and found great joy in spending time outdoors. As a lover of gospel music, he enjoyed sharing as much of his time as possible in fellowship with his friends at the Family Worship Center, but his greatest love was always his family.
Bill and his beloved wife, Patricia Shropshire, shared nearly 67 years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and devotion. Together, they raised four children, and Bill's legacy of love and support has touched countless lives.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Shropshire, his daughters Kay Shropshire Bailey and Donna Shropshire Carman, and sons Mark W. Shropshire and Steven T. Shropshire. Bill was blessed with three amazing granddaughters, Karita Herdes Stevens, Tiffany Carman Konen, and Jennifer Carman Longshore, as well as 6 great-granddaughters, 6 great-grandsons, 2 great-great-granddaughters, and 3 great-great-grandsons, all of whom were the pride and joy of his life. He is also survived by his sister, Carol Hosmer.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William L. Shropshire Sr. and Leila C. Shropshire, as well as his sister Katherine Argo, and brothers James Shropshire and Frank Shropshire.
Bill's memory will live on through the many lives he touched. His kindness, wisdom, and love for his family and friends will remain in our hearts forever.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Family Worship Center, 15285 SW Indian Mound Dr, Indiantown, FL 34956 on February 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM, where family and friends will gather to remember this remarkable man.
Pawpaw's life was one of love, laughter, and lasting impact. Though we will miss him dearly here on earth, we find comfort in knowing he is now at peace, surrounded by the love of God and reunited with family and friends who have gone before him. His spirit, wisdom, and kindness will continue to guide and inspire us all.
He will be greatly missed, but we take comfort in knowing he is now in heaven, at peace and surrounded by love.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Treasure Coast Hospice.
