William John Tichacek, age 86 of Palm City, FL passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at the Treasure Coast Hospice, Harper House in Stuart, FL. Bill was born September 23, 1926 in Queens, NY, son of the late Otto and Frances (Nejedly) Tichacek. After graduation, Bill proudly served his country in the Army of the United States. He worked for 39 years as a Technician/Supervisor for the New York Telephone Company. In his spare time, Bill loved to golf and enjoyed spending time at their summer home in West Caroga Lake, NY. He has lived in Palm City since 1995, coming here from Massapequa Park, NY. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Paulette (Alberti) Tichacek of Palm City, FL; his son, John (Patricia) Tichacek of Massapequa Park, NY; his daughters, Donna (Richard) DeLuca of Massapequa, NY and Katherine (Stephen) Tichacek-Marinelli of Deale, MD; granddaughters, Jeanette Kurz, Allison Deluca and Mia Tichacek; grandson, William Tichacek; his sister, Rose Marie Geick of East Hampton, NY. Per his wishes, cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held on Monday, July 22, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Palm City, FL (2655 SW Immanuel Dr; Palm City, FL 34990).
