It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of William V. Wrenn on May 10, 2026, who peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family while under hospice care.
William’s life was a testament to love, dedication and generosity.
William was born on November 18, 1935, in Jersey City, New Jersey, to the late William Wrenn and Viola Cora Wrenn, née Turner. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ronald Wrenn.
William’s journey through life was marked by love, wisdom and devotion to his family. He shared 67 beautiful years of marriage with the love of his life, Elaine Paleologo Wrenn. Together, they built a life centered around family, loyalty, faith, and unconditional love, creating countless cherished memories throughout the years.
William proudly served in the military and carried the values of honor, integrity, and discipline with him throughout every chapter of his life. Through hard work and determination, he earned his bachelor’s degree in finance and retired from Goldman Sachs at the youthful age of 48, a reflection of his dedication and commitment to providing for his family.
A man of varied interests, William found joy in the melodies of jazz, he often frequented clubs in New York City, where he mingled with musicians and fellow enthusiasts. He loved the game of Tennis, long walks and cherished travels, particularly the cruises and serene moments by the beach with Elaine. His passion for history, especially World War II fueled a lifelong love of reading and learning.
A devoted family-man, William is survived by his beloved wife, Elaine Wrenn, and their three children: Kim Lisa Lauber, née Wrenn, and her husband James J. Lauber; Elaine Bruzzesi nee Wrenn, and her husband Joseph Bruzzesi; and William Wrenn and his wife Carolyn Wrenn. He also leaves behind five adoring grandchildren: Nicole Kiefer nee Lauber and her husband David Kiefer; Rachel Rosenberg nee Lauber, and her husband Adam Rosenberg; Joseph Bruzzesi, Kristina Bruzzesi, and Christopher Wrenn. William’s legacy extends to his great-grandchildren, Kayla Kiefer, Luke Kiefer, and Emma Rosenberg, who brought immense joy to his later years.
William will be remembered for his kindness, quiet strength, wisdom, generosity, and the unconditional love he gave so freely to family and friends. His guidance, support, and presence touched the lives of many and will never be forgotten.
