Yvette Castro, age 51 of Port St. Lucie, FL passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at the Treasure Coast Hospice, Harper House in Stuart, FL. Yvette was born August 9, 1962 in the Bronx, NY, daughter of the late Bienvenido and Lydia (Gonzalez) Castro. She loved dancing, cooking and more than anything else she loved to spend time with her family. Surviving are 2 daughters, Nina (Thomas) Johnson of Stuart, FL and Christina (Chad) Mautz of Port St. Lucie, FL; her son, Vincent Rodriguez of Stuart, FL; grandchildren, Alexis, Nathan, Christian and Vincent, Jr.; her sisters, Miriam (Peter) Marrero of Jensen Beach, FL, Rosa (David) Curbelo of Stuart, FL and Millie (Anthony) Baldwin of Stuart, FL; nieces and nephews, Issac, Amanda, Josh, Angelina, Evan and Tianna. She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Ruben Rodriguez. Family will receive friends on Monday, August 26, 2013 from 11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. at the Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home (950 SE Monterey Rd; Stuart, FL 34994), where funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. Per her wishes, cremation will follow the services.
