Zachary Spencer Gilbert, born August 3, 1988, Bronx, New York, joined his Heavenly Father on Friday, November 28, 2014.
Finally at peace, he awaits his mother Sonia, his father, Gregory, and sister, Eliza.
His survivors include his Grandmother Floret Strachan, Grandmother and Grandfather, MaryJo and Alfred.
For all his many friends, Zack had a huge heart, was generous to all with his beautiful smile and caring way.
He was slow to anger, quick to show compassion, even offering his bedroom to a homeless person.
He was an avid fisherman and lover of music. His father's little buddy, his sister's biggest admirer.
His mother's protector, always there for her, and his Spirit will always look after her.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 7:00 pm on Friday, December 5, 2014 at Treasure Coast Seawinds Funeral Home & Crematory, 950 SE Monterey Rd., Stuart, FL 34994. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, December 7th at the Episcopal Church of the Nativity, 1151 SW Del Rio Blvd., Pt. St. Lucie, FL 34953. Memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of the Episcopal Church of the Nativity in Zachary's memory.
